About Me
1. I was a high school English teacher and taught over 1,000 students.​

2. The Great Gatsby is my favorite book.
​
3. After a decade as a dedicated educator, I dropped everything to follow my dream of being a broadcast journalist.
4. I don't have any children, but was a part-time mama to over 500 kiddos in the class of 2016 and many more students at Stratford High School.
​
5. When I was a high school counselor, my students won over $1.8 million dollars in scholarship money.
​
6. I'm a small town girl...I grew up in Tomball, Texas.
7. I am semi-adventurous: I've hiked to the bottom of the Grand Canyon and ridden to South Dakota on a motorcycle.

8. I love The Sound of Music and know the words to every single song- especially "Raindrops on Roses....."
​
9. I can't dance to anything but a country two step..and maybe a fast polka.
​
10. I'm the slowest runner- ever.
11. Blacklist is my favorite show and I'm a HUGE James Spader fan.
​
12. I don't know what I would do without coffee, my poodle, and yoga pants-
(oh, and my fabulous hair stylist).
